EducationUniversity of Illinois at Chicago - Bachelor of Science, Biochemical Engineering
ExperienceI love to learn, and I've always had an innate curiosity about the world and how it works. I always ask a lot of questions as a student on my own desire to know more than even was covered in course material. I am attending the University of Illinois - Chicago to earn my bachelor's degree in bioengineering. This program requires a lot of science and math knowledge, and I love sharing what I know about these subjects with others. My curiosity also is being fed by my role in campus research on brain injuries and Alzheimer's.
As a tutor, I want to help students develop learning skills so that they can become independent and self-sufficient learners. I'm flexible in my ability to change with the circumstances, and I can adjust my approach on-the-fly to figure out which teaching style to use with each individual student. I've had the opportunity to work on the adjustment skill as a member of medical relief trips in Peru, Ecuador, and India. I can help students with physics, biology, calculus, pre-calculus, differential equations, trigonometry, physiology, biomedical engineering, multivariable calculus, algebra, and related subjects. I can also help students prepare for the ACT and other standardized exams. In my free time, I enjoy video games, football, baseball, basketball, solving math riddles for fun, and reading.
